Your Mind is the Limit

Why do we fear failure?

In order to unlock the full potential of one’s mind, one must first be able to answer this simple question.

I have already covered what fear is in another article. However, to briefly reiterate, fear is the use of negative imagination causing fantasized experiences to appear real.

I have also covered the fact that we are born fearless and fear is largely the result of social conditioning.

When talking specifically about fear of failure there is also the primal aspect to be mindful of.

In nature failure often leads to death.
Failure to hunt down an animal can lead to starvation.
Failure to get out of a freezing lake can lead to hypothermia.
Failure to find or build shelter carries various consequences which can ultimately lead to death.

Most of us no longer live in such conditions.
However, that primal cautiousness remains present.
It is important to consciously overcome it in situations where it is beneficial for one to do so.

When you do something, what is the first signal that your subconscious mind receives?
That it is possible.

Hearing about the things someone has done sparks a belief that they are possible.
Seeing someone do it provides confidence that it is possible.
Doing it yourself grants you certainty that you can do it.

In order for living beings to survive and especially to thrive, they must continuously adapt to their environment.
Fear of failure is an imaginary prison that many find themselves in today.

I would like to share a personal story which serves as an example of how powerful the mind truly is.

Like most people today, growing up, I was brainwashed to believe the germ theory.
One day I came across a study disproving contagion.
This opened my mind to alternative ideas.
Then I discovered Aajonus Vonderplanitz, along with others, who further solidified my newfound belief.
Finally, the belief was confirmed with absolute certainty when I spent time with sick family members without “catching” their illness.

I encourage you to scrutinize the beliefs which may be restraining your potential.
You will find that many of the things you believe to be fact are merely theories.
Explore the alternatives and choose the ones that set you free.

“Once I make us believe it’s true.”
